FY ’25 Recap: Airline Meetings and Industry Conferences this year
Air Service Breakfast Brings Airport and Community Together to Talk Future of Air Service at BIL
Over 150 community members attended a sold-out Air Service Breakfast at the Northern Hotel in Billings. Attendees learned about industry trends, plans for airport infrastructure and building improvements, and a comprehensive overview of air service developments at BIL.
Here are three takeaways from the event:
1) BIL is updating their master plan, an 18–24-month long process with robust public involvement. This plan will guide two decades worth of development and new airport layout planning.
2) BIL is currently classified as a non-hub airport but is on the cusp of becoming a small-hub airport, a classification that has connectivity and funding benefits.
3) 15 of BIL’s top 20 markets had increased passengers, with 7 of the markets increasing by double-digit percentages.
